Celtic Cask Sé (6) 1991 22 Year Old Anima Negra Cask Finish

This cask came to us via the Teeling whiskey company and is just over 22 years old. This is a double distilled single malt, but curiously it comes from a distillery more famed for triple distilled malts. It spent around four months in one of our Anima Negra red wine casks which have added to the fruitiness and spiciness of the whiskey. Aromas of fig jam, dried apricots, mace, citrus and pineapple.

On the palate, it is fruity and densely textured with flavours of apricots, exotic spices and dried fruits. Warming and spicy on the finish. Distilled September 1991. Bottled November 2013. Just 328 bottles produced. Bottled at 46%.
