Celtic Cask 47 was distilled at Great Northern Distillery using heavily peated malted barley. It was matured for seven years in a tiny 53L refill Oloroso Sherry cask. This whiskey was filled on the same day as our much admired Celtic Cask Fiche a Cúig but has a slightly less smoky character, more refinement and some rewarding sherry cask influence. We hope you enjoy this peated whiskey as much as we do!

Nose Medium smoke, chocolate, leather, blackcurrant jam, dark chocolate and orange zest
Palate Well-integrated smoke, rich and mouth-filling. Blackberries, dried vine fruits, leather, dark chocolate with gentle spice
Finish The smoke is very nicely balanced by the cask.
