The Last Drop 1925 Hors D’Age Grande Champagne Cognac
On an old family estate in the heart of the Grande Champagne region, an extremely special cask lay buried at the back of a cellar. The cognac has remained hidden since 1940, behind a wall hastily-built to protect it from the advancing German forces, only for it to be unearthed by us in early 2018. This 93-year-old cognac was distilled in a small, traditional wood-fired still. It is believed that this cognac has very unusually spent its life in an ex-Pineau des Charentes cask, imbuing it with a distinct sweetness.
