A Do Irish Poitin Blackwater
This release marks an exciting collaboration between Blackwater and Killowen Distillery to produce a limited edition Irish Poitín. This is the first time such a project has been undertaken and celebrates the Irish Poitín category with producers on both sides of the border coming together to work on an all-island spirit. To create this fantastic spirit, Killowen sent local Knockshee oats to Blackwater, who in return, send the Waterford distillery heritage barley north of the border. Both distilleries then worked to create an Irish poitin from these traded ingredients. The final batch was then split between the distilleries.
