Arran 12 Year-Old Cask Strength

Arran 12 year old cask strength is a fantastic expression from this relatively young distillery. An interesting mix of 1st and refill sherry casks along with a high proportion of bourbon casks are used for the maturation. Around 2 bourbon casks to every 1 sherry cask are used and the whisky is bottled at its natural cask strength. This is a relatively complex whisky with some spicy, dried fruit flavours coming from the sherry barrels and vibrant honey and orange flavours coming from the bourbon casks. Like other Arran whiskies this is entirely unpeated/unsmoked.
