It is a commercial whisky designed for broad accessibility. Glenmorangie expressions that do carry appreciating value include the limited annual Private Edition releases, older age statements such as the 25 Year Old Dornoch, and single cask bottlings. Investment grade Glenmorangie is the exception rather than the rule within the range.
