Lusca Rondo 2018
The Rondo grape is a relatively new variety and thrives in Northern wine regions like England and Denmark, and does very well for us in North County Dublin. One of its parents is the St Laurent grape, renowned for its Pinot Noir style wines. We only bottled 100 bottles of this vintage, and it was matured without any barrel aging, to allow the full character of the grape to express itself.

Nose | The nose is rich and packed with dark fruit characters. Ripe black cherries, vanilla, blackberries, and a touch of black pepper. Overall it is soft and rounded. |
Palate | On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, dry with soft tannins and medium acidity. Nicely mouth filling with more of those dark fruits as per the aromas. The finish is soft and plummy. |
Colour | Deep, black cherry red in colour. |
