Basil Hayden Dark Rye is made from a harmonious combination of three distinct liquid profiles. The mash bill starts with traditional Kentucky rye grain and Canadian rye from their award-winning Alberta distillery. Finally, the whiskey is finished with a touch of California Port. The subtle nuances from each come together flawlessly, resulting in a rye bourbon that offers a complex blend of caramel, dried fruit, and oak with back notes of spice and a rounded mouthfeel.
