Dalamara Naoussa Xinomavro is a classic example of Greece’s flagship red grape, produced in the Naoussa region of Macedonia by a highly regarded organic estate. It captures the hallmark structure and ageing potential of Xinomavro while retaining a fresh, lifted character in its youth.
The aromatic profile is layered, with notes of sour cherry, cranberry and wild strawberry alongside more savoury elements such as sun-dried tomato, olive and dried herbs. With time in the glass, more complex nuances of floral tones, tobacco and gentle spice begin to emerge.
On the palate, the wine is firm and structured, supported by bright acidity and fine tannins that provide both balance and longevity. While it has the capacity to develop further with age, its combination of fruit, savoury depth and mineral edge makes it equally enjoyable now.
A well-defined and expressive interpretation of Xinomavro from one of Greece’s most respected regions.
