Dunvilles 1808 Small Batch Series CWS Exclusive Oloroso Finish

A stunning small batch exclusive bottling from Dunvilles! Made from a modern blend of Echlinville single malt and pot still whiskeys along with peated malt and grain whiskeys. The limited release of 405 bottles was matured in ex-bourbon casks for six years before being married for a further two years in Oloroso Sherry Casks. On the nose this whiskey is rich with vanilla and pear notes while the palate offers a soft cinnamon and citrus spice, along with complex flavour of stewed winter fruits. See product details

Nose Initial burst of sweet vanilla leas to crisp orchard fruits, apples and pears intertwined with nutty caramel, nougat and powerful butterscotch overtones

Finish Slight hints of dry smoke linger and intertwine with the juicier fruit notes, carrying through to a finish of sweet spice

Tasting Notes from the Producer

Flavour The initial sweetness from the malt gives way to light citrus fruits, orange, lemon, green apples, pepper, and clove. The wood spice and lovely oak tannins firm up this whiskey before the oloroso sherry casks take the final curtain followed by a wisp of char and white pepper
