Fritz W Spatburgunder Rose 2021 is a dry and medium-bodied Rosé with underlying sweetness, firm minerality and crisp acidity. From first taste, the typical flavours of a Spätburgunder from Baden become evident but with added raspberry, grapefruit and plums but also some spiciness which is rarely present in a Rosè wine of this price range. A fantastic summery selection and fantastic value!

FAQs
Rosé is most commonly made from red grape varieties including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Pinot Noir, using one of three methods: direct pressing of red grapes for a few hours to extract minimal colour, saignée (bleeding off) a portion of juice from a red wine fermentation, or blending finished white and red wine, the last method being restricted in most European appellations except Champagne. Provence uses primarily direct pressing, which produces the pale, dry, mineral character associated with the finest regional expressions.
