Bottled for the 100th Anniversary of the distillery The Hakushu 18 Peated Malt is an extremely limited edition whisky made of carefully selected malt whiskies all aged for a minimum of 18 years in various casks, created in honour of Suntory Whisky's centenary. The Hakushu Distillery blenders work with peat, while softening the palate using the exceptional mountain water of the area, filtered through ancient granite rocks. Refined and elegant, this centennial Hakushu Peated Malt brings smoke that is less strong, never dominant and in typical Japanese style, complex and gentle.

FAQs
No. Suntory Whisky is Japanese, produced at distilleries including Yamazaki and Hakushu in Japan. Suntory founder Shinjiro Torii and master distiller Masataka Taketsuru studied Scotch production methods in the early 20th century and modelled the initial Japanese whisky industry on the Scotch model, which explains the stylistic similarities. However, Suntory Whisky is legally and geographically Japanese, produced in Japan under Japanese regulations, and carries no Scotch designation or Scottish production connection.
