Chosen as a 3rd Classified Growth of Margaux during the great classification of Medoc wines in 1855, Chateau Kirwan has belonged to the Schÿler family since 1925. Located on the Cantenac plateau, in Margaux, the vineyard covers 37 hectares of vines. This superb outcropping of gravel and clay meet all the conditions necessary to ripen the great grape varieties of the Médoc. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Cabernet Franc (28%), Merlot (14%) and Petit Verdot (7%)

"Scented with cassis and a very slight hint of blackcurrant bud but not herbaceous. Beautifully lifted by the Cabernet Franc. Chewy and extremely fresh on the palate, the tannins present but not intrusive. Great balance between fruit and structure. Mouth-watering finish." - J Robinson
