This version is a barley rich, mouth-filling drop that makes a superb Old Fashioned. Aged in fire-charred, new American White Oak Barrels.

Yes and no. The modern Michter's brand, relaunched in the 1990s and 2000s, has no operational connection to the original Michter's Distillery in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania, which closed in 1989. The current Michter's whiskey is produced at its own Shively, Kentucky, and Fort Nelson, Louisville, distilleries, which have been operational since 2015 and 2019 respectively. Early releases of the relaunched brand used sourced Kentucky whiskey while own distillate came on stream.
