Tramin Lagrein
Sourced from vineyards set between 250 and 400 metres above sea level, this Lagrein reflects the distinctive conditions of northern Italy, where warm Mediterranean-influenced days meet cool mountain nights. The mix of clay, gravel, and sandy soils contributes both richness and structure to the finished wine.
The grapes are destemmed before undergoing controlled fermentation in steel and cement, followed by further development in a combination of oak and cement vessels. This careful approach helps to preserve the wine’s natural intensity while adding depth and balance.
Deep ruby in colour with garnet tones, it opens with aromas of dark berries, violets, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and expressive, showing layers of raspberry, black cherry, and hints of cocoa, alongside touches of spice and liquorice. Firm tannins and a long, structured finish make this a bold and characterful red, well suited to hearty dishes or slow sipping.
