Macabeo, more commonly known as Viura, is an indigenous variety widely grown throughout Spain. The grape is more often recognised in Catalonia as a dominant contributor to Cava. Mas Rodó however produce this delicious dry style of Macabeo that has been voted the best aged white wine in Catalonia & Penedés.

Nose Warm, spicy oak with aromas of vanilla, toast, lemon butter, oatmeal and honey.

Palate Dry, full bodied, with medium to low acidity. Great mouthfeel with good viscosity. Flavours of honey, butter, oak, toast and lemon zest. Very good, nicely spicy and full flavoured.
