Chateau La Nerthe Chateauneuf-du-Pape
75cl
Great evolution in the glass as it goes from fruity at the entry to savoury on the finish. Everything that a good Chateauneuf-du-Pape should be.

Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green | |
Nose | Thick and dark aromas of liquorice, black pepper, warm leather, stewed plums, damsons, smoke and black cherries. |
Palate | Dry and full bodied with vevety tannins and medium acidity. Well pronounced fruit which is fresher and livelier than the aromas suggest. Flavours of juicy black cherries, damsons, blackberries, then some more earthy tones of liquorice, tar smoke and black pepper. |
Colour | Dark, ruby red with a ruby/garnet rim |
