95 Points
(93–95 points) Barrel Sample. Showing rich, chocolate and dark coffee flavors, this wine is powerful and dense in texture, but balanced by luscious blackberry fruits. Its richness is considerable, lending ample concentration and potential for aging. ROGER VOSS
Wine Advocate 92 Points
The 2019 Clos Badon Thunevin has turned out very nicely, offering up aromas of dark berries and cherries framed by a deft application of new oak. Full-bodied, broad and lavishly textural, it's velvety, fleshy and seamless, with an ample core of succulent fruit and ripe, melting tannins, concluding with a vanillin-inflected finish. - William Kelley
James Suckling 93 Points
Aromas of sweet berries, fresh currants and flowers, such as hibiscus. Full-bodied with lots of fruit and richness. Soft and slightly chewy tannins. Flavorful finish. Lots of ripe fruit, but well-framed by the tannins. Drink after 2023.
