Introducing 25.4, a landmark release from Copeland Distillery and the distillery’s first ever batch release of Double Distilled Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
Distilled twice in traditional copper pot stills and matured for five years, this whiskey is crafted from a mash bill of 50 percent malted barley and 50 percent unmalted barley. The result is a beautifully structured spirit with a silky mouthfeel, balanced by a distinctive spicy backbone, natural sweetness, and impressive depth.
The whiskey spent four years and eight months in a first fill American bourbon cask, developing layers of vanilla, toasted oak, and soft caramel. It was then finished for four months in an ex California Pinot Noir cask, adding an elegant final flourish of dried berries, liquorice, and warming spice.
Expressive, well balanced, and thoughtfully matured, 25.4 marks an exciting new chapter for Copeland Distillery and is a compelling release for fans of modern Irish pot still whiskey.
