What sets this blend apart is its unusually high malt content of 42%, far exceeding the typical 5–15% found in most blended whiskeys. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, the younger components are then carefully finished in a selection of ruby and tawny port casks, adding depth, complexity, and a subtle sweetness.
