Sourced from very old barrels originally set to be dismantled. The PX remaining was understandably dense and complex. It was originally low in alcohol, so had to be fortified once more in order to reach the minimum standard of 15%. Extra ageing was required in order for the wines to integrate. The result is a fabulously concentrated and truly special wine. One single cask was selected for this special edition. While its average age is hard to determine, our conservative estimate is well above forty years. Truly exceptional!
