Celtic Cask Caoga a Cúig (55) 2001 Double Distilled Single Malt

From the award-winning small batch Celtic Cask series comes this double distilled single malt from Cooley distillery that was initially matured in an ex-bourbon cask. Finished in an ex-red burgundy cask from Mongeard Mugneret in 2015 followed by a final three years in a Pedro Ximenez cask. 

Forbes Magazine, 2024, described this release as, "The nose features caramel, dark chocolate, toffee fudge, dates, fig jam, charred oak, and old leather. The whiskey is sweet and full-bodied on the palate, featuring roasted nuts, chocolate, dates, seasoned oak, cold smoke, and old leather. The finish is long with lingering charred oak and chocolate notes.”
