Glengoyne

One of the most accessible distilleries thanks to its proximity to Glasgow. Glengoyne is located in the Lowlands but claims to be a Highland distillery thanks to its water source being just over the Highland line. The distillery was founded in 1833 and was taken over by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2003. Recent releases have been very good and it seems the distillery is in good hands. Glengoyne has three stills and produces 1,100,000L of alcohol per year.
