Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is one of the few distilleries to operate both pot stills and continuous stills on the same site. In fact, it is quite atypical by produces a wide variety of styles in several different still configurations and peating levels. Even their continuous still produces some malt whisky, a subject which became a bit of a hot potato with the folks in the Scottish Whisky Association! Malts distilled at Loch Lomond are variously labelled as Old Rosdhu, Inchmurrin, Croftengea, Craiglodge and Loch Lomond itself. It is owned by the same company as Glen Scotia distillery and also has close ties to the now demolished Little Mill distillery. There are two pot stills, four 'Lomond' stills and one continuous still at the site making a combined capacity of 12,000,000 litres of alcohol per year. However most of the continuous still's output goes into their 'Glens Vodka' brand.
